Active, healthy and resourceful communities

Within Southwark it is important that we recognise the diversity of those resourceful communities working outside of the NHS. These include health charities concerned with the physical and mental health and wellbeing of residents as well as those dedicated to promoting social and cultural cohesion in the borough and beyond.
The opportunities afforded by connecting these various organisations emphasises the importance of engagement as outlined in the Southwark Five Year Forward View. The Southwark PPG Network works to further bring together resources in the community.
A comprehensive list of Southwark based voluntary and community organisations can be found at Community Southwark.
