NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group is planning a new community dermatology service - a service for the treatment of skin conditions. We held an engagement event on 17 July 2017 to hear the views and experiences of people who have used dermatology services to help us plan the new service. We presented our proposals and had group discussions about what is important for patients in the new service and also talked about how local patients can work with us in choosing the new provider of the service. A patient who attended this event took part in the procurement process.
The procurement for a community dermatology service has been completed and the contract has been awarded to Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Improving Health Limited. The service started in April 2018.
