Accountable officer appointed by five CCGs in south east London
Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and
Southwark Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have today announced the
appointment of Andrew Bland as their single Accountable Officer. The appointment
will formally take effect on 1st April 2018.
Andrew will also become the south east London Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) lead within the existing
STP ‘Leadership Quartet’ with more immediate effect, a role that has been performed
by Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS FT,
since the establishment of the partnership. Amanda will continue to be a member
of the Quartet, as chair of the recently established Provider Federation Board.
Andrew is currently the Chief Officer for
Southwark CCG and interim Chief Officer for Greenwich CCG as well as the CCG
lead within the STP ‘Leadership Quartet’.
This is a
key appointment in the implementation of the review the south east London CCGs
have undertaken on their collaborative working arrangements to ensure they can
work together more closely to improve performance and benefit their local

for Lambeth CCG and for Croydon CCG.
Speaking on behalf of the CCGs, Dr Andrew Parson, chair of Bromley CCG,

new role. He has already been playing a key leadership role in south east
London and we believe this appointment will leave us best placed to ensure the
success of our new collaborative arrangements.”
