Second consultation for Dulwich Community Hospital site

The consortium of community organisations responsible for the regeneration of the Dulwich Community Hospital site is launching a second pre-planning consultation event regarding the site’s future. The meeting will be held on Wednesday 8 June 2016 at the United Reformed Church on East Dulwich Grove from 4pm to 7.30pm.

The proposals have been revised following feedback received during the initial pre-planning consultation held between 22 March and 19 April 2016. The proposals will be available for viewing and comment online at http://tinyurl.com/CharterSchoolED until 15 June. They will also be on display, along with consultation forms, in the exhibition area of the hospital building between 8-15 June.

Major developments on the site are planned to expand and improve the public services available to the local community. This includes a new healthcare centre and a new community secondary school. The plans are being developed in partnership by Community Health Partnerships, NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group, The Charter Schools Educational Trust and Southwark Council.

Dr Roger Durston, clinical associate for the Dulwich programme said: "We received some positive and helpful feedback with good challenges during the first consultation. Where possible, the designs have been updated to reflect these. We are hoping for a similar level of interest during this second consultation."

Alex Crossman, Head Teacher of The Charter School East Dulwich, said: "We thank local residents for their ongoing engagement with our regeneration project. We’re confident that our revised scheme has benefited from their input."
