Six south east London CCGs award new 111 contract
The six south east London Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have awarded a new contract for an Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service to London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The contract has been awarded by Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark CCGs.
Dr Angela Bhan, Managing Director of NHS Bromley CCG and Senior Responsible Officer for urgent and emergency care in south east London said:
“The new Integrated Urgent Care service will start at the end of October 2018 and will incorporate the existing service, as well as providing help for patients from GPs, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists, 24 hours a day. Where necessary, the new service will also be able to book appointments in primary care, both in the GP access hubs and GP out of hours services.”
“If you are ill and not sure what to do, call 111. Help us keep our busy A&Es free to treat those who need emergency, life-saving care.”
