Engagement event - delivering the NHS Long Term Plan
Tuesday 4 June, 5:30pm – 8pm, Cambridge House, 1 Addington Square, Camberwell, London SE5 0HD
Join us on Tuesday 4 June 2019 to discuss the NHS Long Term Plan and what it means for patients in Southwark.
This is your chance to learn more about the NHS Long Term Plan - the background, vision and ambition – why it matters in Southwark and how we will deliver it locally.
As ever, it's an opportunity to let us know what you think.
It is free to attend, but please register online. You can also download a poster to display and help us promote the engagement event.
Published in January 2019, the NHS Long Term Plan sets out how the NHS will give everyone the best start in life, deliver world-class care for major health problems, such as cancer and heart disease, and help people age well.
It also places a greater emphasis on making sure that health and care services are more joined-up, accessible and responsive to the needs of patients.
We've already made progress on this in Southwark and are working with other health and care organisations – under the banner of Partnership Southwark – to develop new ways to bring services together and deliver more integrated, community-based care.
