GP opening times over Easter

If you or a member of your family becomes unwell over Easter and needs to see a GP, your practice will be open for some of the holiday break and at other times you can use the GP out-of-hours service.

All GP practices in Southwark will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Remember that your GP’s opening hours might be longer than you think. Many in Southwark now open early mornings, late evenings and at weekends. Some will offer appointments on Saturday 30 March.

To find out when your GP is open, call your practice or check on NHS Choices at www.nhs.uk.

If you know your practice is closed and you need to see a GP, please use the out-of-hours GP service. To be put in touch with this service, just call your own GP and there will be information on the answerphone.

Don’t forget that your local pharmacy is a good place to go to for health advice as well as prescriptions. Go to www.selondon.nhs.uk to find out when your nearest pharmacy is open over Easter.
